Christmas 2012

This Christmas was a bit of a bummer.   It's hard being away from family, and even though we've been in the Navy for 8 years, we've only missed 1 Christmas at home (well 2 for Brandon who was deployed one year).  We knew it was going to be different this year and planned to try to keep all of our same traditions, which worked out well.  The real bummer came on Christmas eve when Reagan got sick.  It came on quick and really took her out.  She ended up opening some presents on Christmas eve, but wasn't really feeling into it.  On Christmas morning, it was worse.  The poor kid was up all night and didn't even care that Santa had come.  We ended up not opening Santa presents until around 5 PM that day.

She finally felt better about 5 days later, so it was a long week at our house.  Luckily no one else got her bug, so that was good.

This was at Brandon's Command's Christmas party on base.

I took 24 pictures of the kids on Santa's lap, but Brock didn't look at the camera once.

This is the Command's holiday Adult party.  Reagan doesn't use zoom, instead she walks closer and farther away, my guess is she backed up as far as she could, that's why we don't have feet :)

This is Christmas Eve night.  We did presents to each other and from the family back home.

Reagan attempted to perk up for presents, but she didn't last long.

She is SO into Pokemon right now.  This shirt did get one of the few reactions out of her for the night.  I know she loved all the gifts, she just wasn't feeling well enough to show it most of the time.

Pokemon cards, you can never have too many, right?...

Santa's visit

This is Reagan on Christmas day around 5 PM.  She spent most of the day in bed miserable and finally ventured out to the chair late in the day.  Brandon really wanted to open the presents, mostly because Santa brought a WiiU and it was killing him to not be able to play it.
